PPAP

The expansion of PPAP is “Production Part Approval Process”.

PPAP defines generic requirements for production part approval. Customer Product design and specification requirements are properly understood by the supplier (Organization who supplies the product) and that the process has thecapability to produce products consistently meeting these specification during actual production run at the quoted production rate. Manufacturing industries can use PPAP methods to manage and improve their Product/Manufacturing Process Approval System. This method can be applied for new products as well as current products under production.

Reference Manual developed by AIAG specifies methods for PPAP.
