The Expansion of ISO is International Organization for Standardization. It is a federation of 150 countries around the world. India is also one of the member countries in ISO.

What is ISO 9001:2000?
In December 15th 2000, ISO released a System Standard-ISO 9001:2000. It is a common standard and suitable for any type (manufacturing or service) of organization.

ISO 9001:2000 is a Quality Management System Standard. ISI/CE marking is applicable for products, where as ISO 9001:2000 is applicable for the Systems of an organization, like procedures, practices etc. To Manage the processes (activities) of an organization effectively, a system must be designed and implemented as per ISO 9001:2000. The third party certification bodies, based on the certification audit performed, issue certificate of conformance to ISO 9001:2000.

What is the AAQMS role in obtaining ISO 9001:2000 certification for your organization?
AAQMS role is to Design systems according to ISO 9001:2000 in your organization and to train the members of your organization to implement ISO 9001:2000 system.

The Project period varies from 2 to 6 months depends on the amount of work involved in this project. Scope of our work in this project will be as follows.

1. Preparation of Draft Document templates & Formats templates to meet ISO 9001:2000 Standard
2. Awareness training to the customer’s staff for implementation of ISO 9001:2000
3. Preparation of Draft Quality Manual & Procedures as per ISO 9001:2000
4. Providing Internal Auditors Training and Conducting One Internal Audit (pre-assessment audit)
5. Participating in the Certification Audit (as an external observer)

What is the Customer’s Role in this project?
1. Implementation of systems recommended by the AAQMS to meet ISO 9001:2000
2. To extend co-operation, involvement and commitment at all level to implement ISO 9001:2000
